1. general payment terms
Payment is required for all services provided by Faultfree Engineering Group Ltd. By booking a repair or service visit, customers agree to the payment terms outlined in this policy.
2. Call-Out / Diagnostic Fee
A fixed call-out or diagnostic fee is charged for engineer attendance.
This fee covers:
Travel to the property
Initial inspection
Fault diagnosis
The call-out fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether the customer proceeds with the repair.
3. Repair Charges
If the customer approves the repair after diagnosis, the engineer will provide a cost estimate that includes:
Labour charges
Replacement parts (if needed)
Any additional work required
Work only commences once the customer confirms acceptance of the quote.

If full payment is not made on time:
Reminders may be issued
Interest may be applied according to UK late payment regulations
Future services may be withheld until the account is settled
Outstanding balances may be referred to a recovery agency if ignored.
5. Cancellations & Missed Appointments
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the booking.
Cancellations within 24 hours may incur the call-out fee.
Missed appointments (no answer at the door, wrong address, or no access) are charged the full call-out/diagnostic fee.
6. Warranty & Repeat Visits
Payment must be completed for all repair work before warranty cover applies.
Repeat visits related to the same fault are provided according to our warranty terms.
7. Parts and Special Orders
Parts ordered specifically for a customer must be paid for in advance.
This includes:
Special-order items
Non-returnable parts
Manufacturer-specific components
Parts cannot be refunded once ordered.
8. Payment Methods
We accept the following forms of payment:
Debit/credit cards
Bank transfer
Secure online payment link
Cash (at the engineer’s discretion)
Cheques are not accepted unless pre-approved.
9. Payment Timeline
Full payment is due immediately upon completion of the service or repair.
For pre-booked work requiring parts, payment is required before parts are ordered.
Commercial clients may request invoicing arrangements (subject to approval).

Refunds are issued only when:
A service was paid for but not delivered
A charge was applied in error
Legal requirements demand it
Diagnostic fees and special-order parts are not refundable.

All genuine engineers representing our company: Carry official identification Provide a valid job reference or booking number Never demand cash upfront without a formal invoice or receipt If an individual claims to be from our company but cannot provide identification, do not allow entry.
3. Secure Payments Only
We never: Ask for full payment before diagnosis unless ordering special parts Ask for card details over text message or social media Request payment to a personal bank account All payments must be made through secure, approved methods listed in our Payment Policy.
4. Protecting Your Personal Information
We will never ask for: Full card numbers via phone, SMS, or WhatsApp Passwords or online account details Sensitive personal information irrelevant to your booking If you receive suspicious communication, assume it is fraudulent until verified.
