01. inlet valve
This is the part that controls water intake to the machine and is controlled by a solenoid either powered by dc or AC with measuring resistance of 3.5k ohms to 4.5k ohms with proper mechanical ability to react to commands
04.wash pump
This pumps water at high pressure through the spray arms for the wash to take place, this is made of a motor and a impeller that helps to move water.
02. AIR BREAKER
the air breaker is where air separation from water is done so as to avoid building up excessive steam in the washing cabin to avoid explosion due to high temperatures during wash
05. PRESSURE SWITCH
This helps to control and monitor the water levels into the wash cabinet and this is measured in frequency
REGENEARION CHAMBER
This is where salt is put and this helps to catalyze and detox the regeneration solution so as for regeneration to take place, this happens once in awhile during the wash as the regeneration valve opens for water to flow through the chamber and close after cycle is complete.
06. FLOW METER
The water flow meter is located at the intake side of the machine and this help to count the volume of water that has gone through the air breaker and this works in collabration with the pressure switch.
07. HEATER ELEMENT
This is responsible for heating up water for a hot wash. they are made in different designs, printed heaters, coils run through types among others depending on brand and make
10.wash arms
The wash arms help to spring and wash up the utensils as aligned in the buskets
08. drain pump
This is part is responsible for draining out water during and after wash cycles.
11. detergent box
This is where detergent is placed and it self opens during the cycle
pcb board
This controls the entire machine by responding to commands and sending commands and signals to sensors and control componets as received from the control panel or as per designed software.
12. sump
in this compartment is where the wash pump and the drainage pump seats and from this compartment is where a washing mechnicaal force is created.
cycles to watch out for.
How Dishwasher works
A good operating dish washer has got six major cycles that makes up the washing and these cycles happen after one another.
Dish washer cycles
1) Draining
this is the intial cycle of dishwasher for each start of any program of choice.it drains any water thats left in the cabin so as to add clean water for washer
2) Water Inatke
After draining the machine fills the cabin with water through the inlet valve and discharge valve via the air breaker into the cabinet and water levels are monitored by the pressor switch or flow meters and water levels depends on the program cycle selected.
3) heating and detergent
after feeling water to the required levels, heating cycle starts and opening the detergent box to depense detergent takes place.
4) Prewash and main wash
after heating up water and dispensing the detergent then the washing up takes place by the wash pump it pumps water through the wash arms depending on the designing and hence washing up, prewash takes place first and then main wash and the machine does does whilst draining and filling new water for each cycle.
5) Rinsing
after the main wash, the washing machine runs the rinsing cycle by dispensing the rinse aid, rinse aid helps to give agood finish to the utensils washed and helps to remove water marks after washing for good fine results and then drains all the water.
6)
after all the cycles mentioned above the machine runs a drying cycle, this cycle differ depending on design and make, some use natural drying by openning up the door and let the steam out of the machine and others use convectional drying by blowing up air through the cabinet to drive out steam.

Fault Questions
the dishwasher may fail to drain because of
- blockage in the drain hoses or fallen object in the pump chamber
- Fault drain pump
- Missing cover in the pump chamber
- electrical failures
- poor drainage
the dishwasher may fail to feel with water because of
1)No water supply or low water pressure from the mains water supply.
2) Faulty inlet solenoid valves.
3) clogged inlet filter for the inlet hose
4) Faulty PCB or ELECTRICAL issues.
The dishwasher may fail to start any program due to faulty Components and sensors failing to communicate and responding to commands as maybe commanded by user. and this may result into fault/error codes.
The dishwasher may fail to turn on because of
- power supply failures
- Fault PCB
- Faulty Power filter
the dishwasher may trip the power mains or circuit breaker/Rcd due to various reasons and this can be caused by components causing electrical earth leaks hence circuit breakers and RCDs are meant to trip incase of any earth leak into the circuit to avoid electricl shocks that maybe caused due to fault current incase of such scenarios you need to seek for a professional to sort it out
the dishwasher may run for a short period of time and stops then after drains out water due to water leakages which runs into the base of the machine during wash and activates the anti flood safety switch which is meant to stop the machine and drain out water to avoid any serious damages and this follows up with the error or faulty codes.
dishwasher show up error of fault codes due to various reasons and these commonly happen because of faulty sensors that send feedback to the main PCB control board and error codes happen as a result of missing feedback.
different brands and makes have different error codes and signals some show F0..EO..inform of light combination or solid words.
Trouble shooting.
- check if the stop cork is open to the right position.
- check if there is any buildup of limescale on the inlet hose at the entry point at the machine.
- check if there is water supply to the dishwasher
- Check for any fallen objects in the drain chamber.
- Check if the drain hose is not bent at any point.
- check if there is no blockage in the drain system where the drain hose is connected.
check if the door gasket seals properly and door lock holds the door firm enough.
dishwasher giving poor results with water marks on things after wash,
- you can adjust the rinse aid settings or add rinse aid if light on display for rinse aid
- Check if the dishwasher runs a hot water wash by opening the machine door during wash program.
- call us to hep out.
seek for a Proffessional from Faultfree engineering group to avoid further damages.
