2.scope of work

faultfree engineering Group carry out all work with reasonable skill, care, and professional standards. Work is subject to availability and acceptance following a customer request.

3. Callout & Diagnostic Fees

Faultfree engineering group callout or diagnostic fee may apply and is payable whether or not a repair is completed. This fee covers the engineer’s time and assessment.

4. Estimates & Quotes

Faultfree Engineering Group Ltd Estimates provide an approximate cost based on initial assessment.
Final costs may change if parts, additional labour, or unforeseen issues arise.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

5.Parts & Special Orders

  • Special order parts may require payment upfront.

  • Ordered parts are non-refundable unless faulty.

 

  • Delivery times depend on supplier availability.

6. Payment Terms

Faultfree Engineering Group Ltd Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service unless previously agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods:

  • Debit/credit card

  • Bank transfer (official business account only)

  • Cash (pre-authorised only)

Payments must never be made to an engineer’s personal account.

7. Cancellation & Missed Appointments

 

 

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may still incur the callout fee.

  • If access cannot be gained when the engineer arrives, a callout fee may apply.

8. Warranty on Work

  • Labour warranty: 30 days

  • Parts warranty: manufacturer-backed only

Warranty exclusions:

 

  • Misuse or accidental damage

  • New faults unrelated to our work

  • Issues caused by electrical/plumbing conditions outside our control

  • Damage caused by continued use after a fault is identified

9. Customer Responsibilities

Faultfree Engineering Group Customers must ensure:

 

  • Safe and unobstructed access to the appliance

  • Accurate information about the issue

  • An adult (18+) is present during the appointment

  • The work area is safe for the engineer

10.Engineers conduct

Faultfree Engineering Group Engineers will:

 

  • Carry ID

  • Work professionally

  • Provide honest assessments

  • Never request payment to personal accounts

  • Follow safety procedures at all times

11. Liability

Faultfree Engineering Group We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing faults

  • Damage caused by poor installation or misuse

  • Loss of food, revenue, or consequential losses

  • Issues revealed during work (e.g., leaks, wiring faults)

Liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.

12. Refusal of Work

Faultfree Engineering Group LTD reserve the right to decline or stop work if:

 

  • Conditions are unsafe

  • The appliance is beyond economical repair

  • The Customer behaves abusively

  • Payment terms are not met

13. Data Protection

We follow UK GDPR guidelines. Customer information is used only for bookings, communication, and billing.

We will never:

  • Request bank details by text or social media

  • Accept payments to personal accounts

  • Send engineers to a property without confirmation

 

Report any suspicious activity immediately.

15.15. Complaints Procedure

Complaints should be submitted in writing via email.
Management will review and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
